The Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Renfrewshire over the last 10 weeks have undertaken statutory visits to every Chapter, Lodge and Council and Council in the province. At each visit the Prostate awareness message was delivered both during the meeting and in the refectory post meeting.
The photos above were taken at each visit and the Prostate Scotland pop up banner very much front and centre. A great opportunity not only to reinforce the message but to receive feedback on the effectiveness of the awareness campaign in the province. All feedback very positive especially the success of linking with the PGL Renfrewshire East mental health awareness.

Christmas Message 2025
Companions, as we approach the close of another successful year, I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to every one of you. Your dedication, your fellowship, and your unwavering support have once again strengthened our Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter and enriched the work we share.
At every stage you have shown enthusiasm, resilience, and a willingness to work together. I am deeply grateful for the trust you place in me and for the harmony that exists among us. It is an honour to serve as your Grand Superintendent and to witness the strength of our companionship in all we do.
This year has been marked by progress, unity, and the continued commitment that defines Royal Arch Masonry. Everyone’s endeavours for the Province, Chapters, Cryptic Councils, and Lodges and Councils are appreciated. Your efforts have helped increase membership by almost 30% from last year. None of it would be possible without your enthusiasm and the spirit of companionship you bring to every meeting, ceremony, and event. It is both a privilege and a joy to serve alongside you.
Your generosity has contributed to over £18,000 being donated to charities and local organisations. The collective desire to mutually support each other is the essence of Freemasonry. Our approach, ‘One Masonic Family, No Boundaries,’ best illustrates this. I cannot praise you all highly enough. You have all earned some Christmas cheer.
As the Christmas season draws near, may you find time for rest, reflection, and the warmth of family and friends. May the peace of this festive season be with you, and may the New Year bring health, happiness, and continued success to you and your loved ones.
I look forward to some warm Christmas Goodwill and the opportunity to embrace 2026, when we can continue our collective efforts to promote Royal Arch Masonry and attract and retain high-quality companions who will make a positive difference in the community. Thank you, Companions, for all that you do. I look forward to another year of harmony, purpose, and shared achievement.
With fraternal regards and every good wish for Christmas and the New Year,
MEC Kevin Pollock
Grand Superintendent
9th December 2025
Wonderful Convocation on 2nd December, 2025 when we were delighted to welcome Sister Provinces and Sister Orders strengthening the One Masonic Family. Congratulations to the Bowling and Fishing competitions prize winners. Thanks to Bowling Convener MEC Colin Reddy and Fishing Convener MEC Bill Provan for their efforts. Our guest speaker, Bro. Rev. Jonathan Fleming gave a great talk about faith and the Craft, generating positive discussion. Thank you to everyone involved in making it happen.
PGLRE Football
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East have established a very successful walking football group.
This group was originally to support the Grand Lodge Mental Health Initiative. The group have now decided to extend their awareness aims to also address Prostate Health and awareness. As part of the Renfrewshire Joint Provincial awareness initiative a tournament has been organised to promote Prostate awareness alongside mental health awareness.
The tournament raised £1300.
Inter-Provincial Bowling
On 17/th August, 2025, the PGRACR won the Inter-Provincial Bowling Trophy hosted by Glasgow and played at Whitevale Bowling Club. The victorious team was: Lead, Chris Walker, 2nd Ross Green, 3rd Jamie Barton, Skip Jim Taylor. Each Province played each other over 5 ends. Our companions won four. A very good day. Great company. Excellent facilities. Well done to everyone involved.
PGLRE June Convocation
Wonderful evening of companionship at tonight’s June Convocation of the PGRAC of Renfrewshire at Barrhead. Tremendous turnout with deputations from Supreme, Sister Provinces and Other Orders. Reinforcing the ‘One Masonic Family’ approach.
The GS Kevin gave a talk about the characters of the RA which was very informative and enjoyed by all the companions. The PGC agreed to make donations to Erskine Homes, Prostate Scotland and Fisher House (Stanford Hall Military Rehab Centre).
Thank you to everyone who attended.
Strathearn Bowling
Congratulations to Sir William Wallace RAC No.109 on winning the Strathearn Trophy played today - 25th May, 2025 - at Spateston Bowling Club. The team Jamie Barton (Skip), Ross Green (Lead) and Chris Walker (Second) won a tight match against the holders, Greenock RAC No.17. The weather was variable, sunshine, gale force winds, and torrential rain. But the bowlers were not to be deterred. Great companionship and much laughter. Well done to everyone involved.
A special thanks to our bowling convenor Colin Reddy for pulling it all together.
