Art I is an entry level course for students interested in exploring “What is Art?”, “How and Why does it work?” and “What
and how does it function within the society it was produced?”

manipulate the Principles of Art in both two and three-dimensional art forms, as well as become acquainted
with various artists from the present and past.

students acquire knowledge and understanding of the visual arts and a foundation upon which to make
sound aesthetic judgments.
