Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Standard
The EIC Standards Site has been created to help maintain a standard during engineering and construction of wonderful Projects. Electrical Components and Installation of Electrical Systems vary drastically in an industrial environment. it is therefore necessary to layout guidelines and practices that will insure consistency and Maximum availability of our Controls implementation.
The end result, if followed, will produce a stable, Fast to Market, Consistent Control System that will meet the demands of Roll's Philosophy of Quality and Profit.
A Standard Set of Design and Operating procedures lead to Quality and ultimately to Profit. Not only should a standard set of components be outlined but a standard set of programming, startup, and debugging proceedures exist to complement a Functional control system. If any one of these areas are overlooked a weak link in the chain will cause problematic operation for years to come.
This Site will focus in on areas of our Control Systems that need to be tightly monitored and Controlled for Quality and Consistency.
