Common Questions

Times: The bus departs as soon as possible after school. Middle Schoolers meet in the cafeteria and high schoolers please be on the sidewalk in front as soon as possible after school gets out. We only have a few minutes to load the buses between the time the high school buses leave and when the elementary buses pull in. We will not wait long for you. On the way home we will have you call your parents when we are about 20 minutes away, but it will be around 9pm. You will NOT  be able to get back into school after we get back, so bring everything you will need with you.  Parents: do not park in the bus lane directly in front of PHS or ACMS.  We need to park 4 coach buses there.  See map for bus loading/unloading areas.

Helmets: Helmets are a must! Many of you own your own - do not forget them. Some of you are renting them, great (included with all rentals). If you forget, it will cost you $5 to rent a helmet. No exceptions on the helmet rule.

Clothing: Please wear warm clothing that will keep you dry: snow pants, a good waterproof jacket and warm gloves. Do not ski in jeans! Goggles are nice as well. This slideshow  (Ski Club 101) has lots of good tips about clothing and other details for students new to skiing/boarding or new to ski club.

Money and Food: You can buy food at the ski area, or you can bring a snack from home.

Ski/Board Storage For High School Students: You can store your skis and boards in room 123, Mr. Ebbole's office (near the weight room). Please stack your skis and boards neatly to make room for everyone. This room will remain closed and locked during the school day. We will have it open during resource to put your things in.

Ski/Board Storage for Middle School Students: Place gear and clothing in the gym locker rooms during the school day.

Bus Lists: You will need to find out which bus you will be on prior to our departure. Bus lists will be posted on our website under the Bus Lists tab. There will also be a list posted outside of Mr. Douglass' room (PHS 192) and outside Mrs. Weiss's room (ACMS 245). You will take the same bus to and from the hill. 

Refunds: We are able to get the low prices we offer because we buy the tickets in advance as a package; once you sign up for the trips, we are not able to offer any refunds.  In the event of school closure due to weather, we will ski on the makeup date.
