I teach Social Studies at the high school, and have been a ski club adviser since 2003. I love all forms of outdoor adventure, and have been on skis since I was about 4 years old. I love both downhill and cross country skiing, as well as snow shoeing and winter camping. My goal for ski club is to help more students have more fun and become better skiers and boarders.
I teach 7th grade Math at ACMS. I have been a skiier since middle school - our family took multiple ski trips a year to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when I was growing up. This is my first year as Ski Club advisor for ACMS and I am excited to give students the opportunity to learn and engage in this lifelong skill! I have two girls of my own, Quinn (8) in 3rd grade at Horizon and Harper (5) in 5k at PLE. In my free time you can find me curling up with a good book, playing my guitar and singing, spending time with my kids and husband, or getting in a good workout!
I teach PE at PHS and lead the Outdoor Pursuits program. I like to maximize the daylight hours by any means possible - biking, running, camping, or spending time on the lake Up North. I began skiing in high school as a means to stay active and get outside during the winter months, and I hope to help students find skiing or snowboarding as a way to enjoy Wisconsin winters, too!
Along with teaching Social Studies at the high school I have been a co-leader of the Wisconsin Adventure Trip and National Adventure Trip which much like the ski club encourages students to enjoy the outdoors and experience new adventures. I enjoy skiing and can't wait for more students to find ways to enjoy winter in Wisconsin.
