WARM UP EXPECTATIONS:
Constant & positive movement in the warm up game/activity
No walking during warm up laps
Start all stretches on time & continues performing the stretch until the time is up
Start all exercises on time & continues performing each exercise until the time is up
Demonstrates appropriate form on all stretches & exercises (should improve throughout the school year)
FITNESS/CARDIO EXPECTATIONS:
Always working at a pace that will improve YOUR fitness (get out of your comfort zone)
Little to no use of the recovery sections (this should improve throughout the school year)
Follows all instructions for that fitness activity/run (including not walking in the running lanes/areas)
Does not negatively interfere with other student's ability to successfully participate
Does not let socializing negatively affect your own performance (or the performance of others)
ACTIVITY EXPECTATIONS:
Constant & positive movement throughout the activity
Follows all instructions & safety for the activity
Attempts to use the correct skills for the activity
Attempts to use appropriate game strategies during the activity
Positively impacts other student's ability to participate in the activity (including teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, inclusion, etc)
Does not let socializing negatively affect your own performance (or the performance of others)
RESPONSIBILITY EXPECTATIONS:
Always on time (including being in roll call when class starts and having quick transitions between activities/locations/water breaks)
Comes to class prepared (includes PE clothing, necessary materials and a positive attitude)
On task (an active learner who is attentive)
Demonstrates positive life skills (including safe, respectful, helpful, productive & efficient)
Makes the class better for ALL students (positive role model)
Don't let socializing with others negatively affect your participation
Improvements in fitness, strength and health takes time and practice - it won't happen right away. Consistent effort is key!
Complete your make up work after any absences (see the PE MAKE UPS info for more details)
Communicate with your PE teacher if you need to modify your participation due to injury/illness (and bring a parent/doctor note with your necessary modifications)
Complete class assignments on time
