My name is Mrs. Marian Glenn and I am excited to be here at Guth Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. I grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Temple University. I almost can’t believe it, but the 2023-2024 school year will be my twenty-eighth year of teaching. I enjoyed teaching second, third, and fourth grades in the School District of Philadelphia for about ten years, and was blessed with the opportunity to join the fourth grade team here at Guth in 2003. My Master's Degree in Elementary Education is from Holy Family University and most of my +36 post Master's credits are in either Math or Reading/Language Arts instruction. I enjoy participating in courses and workshops to further my knowledge of the best teaching practices.
I live in nearby Quakertown with my husband, David, and two daughters, Lizzie and Emily. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, being outdoors, and riding roller coasters.
I am looking forward to a productive year working with you and your child. I am committed to the importance of parental involvement and need your support so that your child receives the best education possible. You are the most important person in your child’s life and I look forward to working with you cooperatively this year.
