Class materials and assignments can be found on our Google Classroom.
Each student is given an access code on the first day of school and can sign up online or through the Google app on their smartphone.
Basic Contents of all my Syllabi: (see course syllabus for specifics)
COURSE GOALS: For all students to become knowledgeable and active citizens in our democracy. Help students develop skills and knowledge to prepare them for college and career.
BATHROOM PASSES: Students will receive a pass for five breaks for each nine weeks. ALL REQUESTS ARE AT TEACHER DISCRETION. Students may be asked to leave their cell phone. All breaks should be requested during work time, not during a lecture.
CLASSWORK: classwork will vary from bell ringers, to vocabulary, to maps, to timelines, to short readings, to workbooks, to documentary worksheets. They will be assessed as needed. EdPuzzle Videos are a key tool for helping me teach diverse topics and learning styles. Videos will be totaled at the end of the each nine weeks and while formative, it is a substantial grade and can really help students succeed.
