Cookeville takes out Warren County

The Cookeville High School tennis teams swept Warren County at home Tuesday evening as the Lady Cavaliers won 7-2 and the Cavs won 8-1.


Cookeville won all of its doubles contests and all but three of its singles games.


For the Cavaliers, the pairs of Jordan Rohr and Eli Langford (No. 1) and Krish Patel and Issac Wheeler (No. 3) won 8-1. Jackson Franks and Will Silberman (No. 2) won 8-2.


In the Lady Cavs' doubles, Katie Rohr and Adeleine Moore (No. 2) and Skylar Williams and Soul Baek (No. 3) won their doubles matchups 8-0. Scotie Stroud and Sarah Williams gathered an 8-2 win in the No. 1 spot.


Silberman shut out his opponent 8-0 in the No. 2 single's spot. Franks (No. 1) and Jack McReynolds (No. 3) won their singles games 8-1. Cade Smith (No. 4) and Trey Briggs (No. 6) won 8-3 in their singles matchups.


Stroud led the Lady Cavs' in the No. 1 singles spot with an 8-0 shut out. Sarah Williams and Sarah Bette Ramsey followed in the No. 2 and No. 3 spot with 8-2 wins. Baek rounded out the Lady Cavs' singles wins in the No. 4 spot with an 8-4 win.


The Cavs and the Lady Cavs travel to the Hilltopper Invitational at Science Hill Friday.

Cookeville played Central Magnet on April 15 at Adams Tennis Complex.


UP NEXT

Both Cookeville teams will play in the Hilltopper Invitational at Science Hill on April 22-23.
