Cookeville will participate in the Cumberland Classic on March 16 at Fairfield Glade.

Participating teams:  McMinn County, Bradley Central, Cookeville, Stone Memorial, Walker Valley, White House.

Play will begin at 11 a.m.  Boys will play first, and girls should start around 3:30.  

Players will be placed in two pools with the winners advancing to the finals.

Scoring - 2 out of 3 short sets to 4 with a 7-point tiebreaker at 3-3 and a 7-point tiebreaker for the third set.

Seating - Each team will have one table and eight chairs.  You can bring more chairs, but make sure to leave an aisle to walk.

The following players will represent Cookeville:

Singles - Katie Rohr, Emmy Bragga, Cade Smith, Isaac Wheeler

Doubles - Leah Stransky/Sarah Williams, Ella Brown/Danica Dyal, Joseph Rohman/Taeyoo Kim, Jack McReynolds/Daul Baek


LAST TIME OUT

Cookeville splite a pair of matches with Hendersonville on March 7.  The Cookeville boys avenged a loss to Hendersonville in last year's region final.  In 2023, Hendersonville went on to face Science Hill in the state semifinals.  

Afternoon matches against Science Hill were suspended due to darkness.  The Lady Cavs trailed defending state champion Science Hill 2-1, but Katie Rohr was one game away from evening the match.  The Cavaliers trailed 4-0.

Cookeville will travel to Smithville Golf Club on March 19 to face DeKalb County.
