Returning students should register for the new school year when the official registration opening is announced by the College. Students must take along their progress reports and consult with the Head of Department (Mr J. Pinnock) or the Programme Coordinator (Mr. Patrick Jackson) before registering for courses.
Registration for Re-Do courses must be done using the Re-Do form. These courses attract a separate fee that must be paid before registration can be completed.
Associate Degree: Redo Current - $11,000.00
Resit Current - $8000.00
In addition current students can earn $1000 towards their school fee for every student that they get to REGISTER in the programmes for 2015-16.
You are allowed to carry a maximum of 9 credits or 3 courses into the second year. If you fail more than 3 courses you will not be promoted to the second year of the programme.
If you are required to repeat the academic year of a programme you may be allowed to do a maximum of fifteen (15) credits in each semester, provided that they are no timetable clashes. (No special arrangement will be made to accommodate you for classes or examinations).
Provisional students who do not matriculate at the end of the first year will not be promoted to the second year of the programme (see provisional students contract).
You are expected to attend ninety percent (90%) of the lectures for each course.
To be awarded your degree, you must have:
i. completed all credits as specified by the programme
ii. completed all courses are required by the programme
iii. completed thirty (30) hours of Community Service.
iv. met all other requirements as outlined by the College and the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica. (see general guidelines)
