2024 TROOP CAMPOUT PLANNER

Please note all information shown is subject to change, please check email and the Band App for updates prior to all events.  Costs shown are estimates only, final costs will be determined after the campout.  Sign up is required one week prior to campouts unless noted otherwise so that meal planning can be done at the meeting prior to the campout.

January - No Campout

February/March Sign Up Here 

• Campsite: Site #2, Kelsey Shorts Youth Campground, Smithville Lake

• Activity: Snow Tubing, Snow Creek, 10am to 12pm on Sunday, 3/3 (weather permitting)

• Depart:  9am Saturday, March 2nd

• Return:  1pm Sunday, March 3rd

• Cost:  $5 per meal plus leadership and campsite fee.  Additional $43 for tubing.

• Notes: Saturday we will working on sorting the trailer gear in preparation for the new camping year.  Sunday will snow tubing, weather permitting.

• Campsite: Lake Jacomo, Blue Springs, MO

• Activity: IBEX in Blue Springs, MO

• Depart:  9am Saturday, April 13th

• Return:  12pm Sunday, April 14th

• Cost:  $5 per meal, $5 camping fee plus leadership and campsite fee. IBEX cost is $25 per person.

• Notes: Waiver forms will need to be completed for Ibex.

• Campsite: Clinton State Park, Lawrence, KS

• Activity: Hike and Trail Cooking

• Depart:  9am Saturday, May 18th

• Return:  12pm Sunday, May 19th

• Cost:  $5 per meal, #5 campsite fee, plus leadership and campsite fee. 

• Notes: We will be going on a hike as a troop and cooking lunch while on the hike.

• Campsite: Gasconade Hill Resort, Richland, MO 

• Activity: Canoe Float Trip

• Depart:  3pm Friday, June 7th

• Return:  2pm Sunday, June 9th

• Cost:  

  1. 1. $13 per person, per night to camp.  

     2. $26 per person for canoe rental.  

     3. $18 per person for meals on Saturday. 

• Notes: This campout is open to families to join the troop.  Must sign up by Wednesday, May 29th.

July

• Campsite: Bartle 2024, Camp Sawmill, Campsite Oak

• Activity: Summer Camp Session #4

• Depart:  8am Saturday, July 6th

• Return:  12pm Monday, July 15th

• Campsite: Jacob's Cave - 23114 State Hwy TT, Versailles, MO 65084 

• Activity: Cave Tour and Exploration

• Depart:  7am Saturday, August 24th

• Return:  12pm Sunday, August 25th

• Cost:  $25 activity fee, $5 per meal

• Notes: All participants need to bring clothes and shoes that can get muddy on Saturday.  Everyone will also need two flashlights and a helmet (bike helmet or similar are acceptable).  Shower facilities are available near the campsite.  The campsite is about 2.5 hours away, so we will stop once on the way out and back.  The scouts may purchase a snack during our stops.

• Activity:  St. Joe Air Show

• Depart: 8am Saturday, September 14th

• Return:  11am Sunday, September 15th

• Cost:  Activity is free, money for lunch, $5 per meal for dinner/breakfast

• Notes:  Troop will attend the Air Show as a group on Saturday.
