READ/ELA Periods 1 and 2

This year we will begin to use the new ARC Reading and Writing Program.

During this First Marking Period, we will do the following in ELA:

• Learn how to keep a Writer's Notebook

• Improve Reading Comprehension Skills and Develop Vocabulary Skills

• Improve our Spelling Skills

• Maintain an Independent Reading Life

• Review Correct Sentence Structure

• Review and Practice our Writer's Rules

• Learn how to write more details / be more descriptive in our writing

• Write a Personal Narrative

Students receive homework in their academic subjects Monday through Thursday. Please see the Homework tab for current assignments.
