Illness Protocols
Specific disease guidelines can be found at the following website through the Wisconsin Department of Health. Communicable Diseases
If your child:
Has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, they should stay home for 24 hours after their temperature returns to normal (less than 100 degrees) without fever reducing medication.
Has vomited or has had diarrhea, they should stay home until 24 hours after the last episode.
Has been diagnosed with strep throat, they need to have completed 24 hours of antibiotic treatment and their fever must be resolved before returning to school.
Has a rash that may be disease-related or the cause in unknown, check with your healthcare provider before returning to school.
If your child is ill, please keep them home and notify the school's attendance service to report the illness. If your child has a contagious condition such as influenza, RSV, strep throat, or whopping cough, please include this information in your attendance report.

When students become ill at school, the school nurse or office will attempt ot contact family first and then the name(s) listed as emergency contacts. It is important to keep the school up to date with any changes in telephone numbers.
