Concussions

Children and adolescents are among those at greatest risk for concussion.  Concussions can result from a fall or any time a students head comes into contact with hard object.  The potential for a concussion is greatest during activities where collisions can occur, such as physical education class, playground time, or sport activities.  If you believe your child has sustained a concussion please communicate with your child's school.  Supporting a student recovering from a concussion requires a collaborative approach among school professionals, health care professionals, parents, and students.  We want to make sure your child has a successful and smooth recovery from a concussion.
