Welcome to 4th & 5th Grade!

Greetings!

My name is Karen Marron (Yes! It rhymes!), and I am thrilled to be your child's 4th grade ELA and homeroom teacher this year! Since 2019, I have been "the bridge" teacher, which means I also teach 5th grade ELA in the afternoon. I absolutely love my unique position! I am thrilled to partner with Jamie Coccia again this year. She will teach both grades math, social studies, and science, and is our 5th-grade homeroom teacher.

After changing my career in 2010, I taught in the Ridgewood and Wyckoff Public School Districts. I was originally an art major and worked as a professional graphic designer for over a decade. I joined OPS in 2016, and it is my great pleasure to return this year.
It has been a fantastic opportunity to teach in a nurturing, child-centered, academically challenging community. I feel very fortunate to teach in Oradell.

In our class, we have a class motto: Be Kind • Work Hard. I believe it embodies what each classroom community member should strive to achieve—every day. I hope all my students grow academically, socially, and creatively—while having fun and making special memories.

I look forward to working together as a team to meet your child's individual needs. Please don't hesitate to contact me anytime via email, telephone, or in person. Thank you! —Karen Marron
