We Europeans must acknowledge that we are not the only ones in this world. By knowing that, we understand the usefulness of having other countries. Without them, it would be much harder to thrive and succeed. But having neighbours isn't always good. Conflicts are inevitable, and some of them even lead to wars and calamities.
Even though Europe is a small part of the world, it is economically significant. It allows us to be heard and noticed and compete with other parts of the world. By using our significance, we can persuade other countries to do better. For example, we can help other countries gravitate towards a greener environment.
Our international policy has several goals
Protect Europe's interests and avert terrorism, organised crime, and illegal immigration.
Help maintain a habitable environment (climate policy and environmental protection).
Influence others to make and keep peace
Help other countries develop and overcome poverty, illiteracy, and underdevelopment
Stand for democracy and the rule of law throughout the world.
