Welcome to kindergarten at Our Lady of Mercy! I'm so to be excited to your child's teacher this year. I have been teaching for 34 years. Many of those years were spent at St. Alphonsus School. I have taught pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade. I have also tutored, worked at summer camps, and even taught at a kids' cooking school. I am married and have one child who is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy School. My family and I also volunteer for an animal rescue group. We foster dogs and puppies in our home until they are adopted into permanent homes.
Kindergarten is an exciting year filled with many new experiences. My goal is to inspire a love of God and a love of learning in each child. By fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and respect, I encourage each child to reach his or her full potential. While it is important for children to learn the curriculum, forming friendships is also an important part of kindergarten. Learning to get along with others, share, problem solve, and support one another are all important life skills. I'm looking forward to getting to know each kindergarten family.
