Hello! My name is Mrs. Kait O'Leary, and I am your child's Spanish teacher at Our Lady of Mercy. I began teaching at OLM in 2014. Additionally, I am the faculty adviser for the Model United Nations club and one of the Student Council moderators.
I grew up near the ocean in Monmouth County, New Jersey. I attended the University of Delaware and graduated with an honors degree in 2014. I also have a degree in Political Science with a concentration in global politics, as well as a minor in Political Communication. While at UD, I played the flute in the Blue Hen marching band and was a member of the service organization Alpha Phi Omega. I had the opportunity to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling to new places. So far, I have been to Spain twice and have also traveled to Vancouver, London, and Stockholm. I am fascinated by the history and culture of different places. I also enjoy reading, bowling, spending time with friends and family, and improving my photography skills.
I married my husband in December 2019. We are both avid New Jersey Devils' fans and enjoy watching hockey games both live and on television. We currently reside in Montgomery County with our cat, Nico, and our two guinea pigs, Henry and Bruce Wayne (yes, like Batman!).
