We, at Merion Mercy Academy, hope your academic year is off to a great start.  

We are reaching out today to update you on an important change to the Mercy scholarship award for incoming students. 

In the past, Mercy scholarship applications have been sent to principals to be distributed to qualified applicants in the eighth grade.  

Beginning this year, all interested students can directly access the Mercy scholarship application on Merion's website. Click here for the requirements and application. Please encourage qualified applicants to apply!

 September 11-15, 2023

This week we will discuss the causes and events of September 11, 2001. We will talk about some of the root causes that go back to the early 20th century. We will also discuss what "History" means to us individually and what it means to be learning Social Studies.

Last week the entire Middle School met with the Principal and Asst. Principal. We reviewed things such as the uniform policy, cellphone policy, use of Airpods, and smart watches. All the Middle School students left with a clear understanding of the policies. We encourage parents to ask the children what the meeting was about and what constitutes acceptable school wear and appearance.

If there are any forms, supplies, and/or Genesis forms that are still outstanding, please be sure to take care of those. Have a great week.

It's time to start 8th Grade. This will be a busy and memorable year as you close out your tenure at OLGC. A year from now our 8th Graders will be starting their Freshman year of High School. It will get here before you know it so enjoy the dwindling days of Middle School.
