Future Business Leaders of America is a vocational organization that helps students bridge the gap between the classroom and the business world. Membership in FBLA is open to students in grades 9 through 12 who express an interest in business or business-related fields. Regular meetings are held to develop and carry out various chapter goals and activities. The organization places an emphasis on community service and the development of leadership skills. The Okawville chapter actively participates in FBLA area and state leadership conferences. At these conferences, members enter various business events where they compete against members from other schools. First-place winners in events at the state level qualify to attend and compete at the national conference.
