All instruments should be traditional orchestral color (wood color, for example - no purple violins), in working order and of good quality. 

Students interested in switching instruments must have director approval.

All students must have a personal tuner & rosin. These items will not be shared between students

Students will be learning to tune their own instruments. Instruction will be provided. Please have an extra set of strings on hand (cellos, violas, and violins) 

Nails must be kept at an appropriate length for playing a string instrument. 

Instrument (Re)Sizing

As strings students grow they may need to change the size of instrument they are playing. This year it is best to visit the string store to assist in sizing or resizing your student for the correct size instrument.
