4th Grade
An interesting part of the fourth grade music curriculum is the study of musical instruments. As part of this study, the boys and girls have the opportunity to play a real instrument: the recorder. It is through this experience that they develop musical coordination and the ability to readily recognize and translate musical symbols. Music also takes on new meaning as they begin to understand and develop basic music reading skills.
