Characters: who you need to know to have OWNERSHIP of the play/novel; 3 adjectives for each character
Setting: time, date, social context, how affects meaning of the work as a whole
Opening/Closing Scene: Where, What, Why tie to MOWW
Old Questions: no #s, "foil characters"
Themes: minimum 2, complex statements that reflect the work's complexity
