During the 2019-2020 school year, Mrs. Passetti's Advanced Studio students created posters about National Parks.
Students were given the task of selecting a National Park to create a promotional poster about. They drew their inspiration from both vintage National Parks posters as well as new designs by current artists.
Once they had selected a park, students were told to act as an illustrator who had been hired to create a promotional poster that would convince people to visit the park. They had to gather image resources to use for inspiration.
Posters were painted on paper, scanned, and completed on the computer in Photoshop with lettering and any needed digital clean up.
Their posters can all be viewed through this slideshow. Click on the box to view it full screen. You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard or click with your mouse to flip through the slideshow after opening it.
Through Google Earth, you can visit many National Parks! Here is a list of 33 of them that you can explore online.
