Portfolio

This page outlines the steps you will take to complete your portfolio. Each portfolio will contain 4 sections. I suggest reading all the steps required before commencing with this project. This way you can develop some ideas on how you can improve the overall outlook of your final portfolio entry.

1. Research: On this page you will answer the following questions relating to the 'Rebound' board

game.

  • The origin

  • Its purpose

  • How it works

  • To build this game, what materials will be required and at what cost

  • Who uses it, and where

  • Where can you purchase this game

  • What effects does the manufacturing of these games have on our environment when comparing manufacturing processes in multiple countries? (eg. laws and materials)

  • How do different types of games affect our society in a social context?

  • Identify programs available for someone interested in the gaming industry, whether it be hands on games such as board games, or digital gaming. (eg. educational or career driven programs)

2. Design: Using 'Inventor', you will develop a design using the given measurements and an image

of the actual game. On this page you will post your design in orthographic projection

with a brief description of the design. Your final design must include dimensions and a

completed text box.

3. Procedure: Here you will explain each step that you will take in the process of achieving your

final artifact. From selecting your materials, to playing your board game on a rainy

day.

4. Conclusion: Reflect on the process you went through throughout this project. Talk about what

you liked/disliked, any problems that arose and how you went about solving

them. Maybe mention what you would do next time. Talk about how your

procedures list compares to the techniques you used in completing your project.

Feel free to take photographs along the way to help document issues, techniques,

and the overall build.
