The Public Education Foundation administers a variety of scholarships to help students pursue higher educational goals. In many cases, the scholarships make the college and university experience accessible to students who might not otherwise dream of a college education. The Public Education Foundation offers more than 260 different scholarship opportunities for Southern Nevada’s high school seniors to attend both in-state and out-of-state schools.

Golden Door Scholars is open to DACA students or DACA-eligible students from all states!
Strong preference will be given to applicants who plan to concentrate their studies in one of the following areas (or one similar): Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or Math.
There will be up to 50 winners in amounts up to $40,000.
Scholarship recipients will receive funding to support tuition, as well as room and board for a four-year degree at Golden Door partner schools and schools offering in-state tuition to students with DACA status, beginning Fall semester, 2019.

Bill Walters LV Golf Hall of Fame Scholarship
Get an application from your counselor. Requirements are as follows:
A fully completed application, signed by the applicant and the parent or guardian
A fully completed report, signed by an official from the applicant’s high school
A school transcript
An essay by the applicant in the format outlined in the application
If selected to receive a scholarship, you must provide to the Nevada Community Foundation the following materials:
Proof of enrollment for the 2022 fall semester, which must be received in order for funds to be disbursed.

Gretchen Hauff Memorial Scholarship

College bound female seniors living in Clark County, Nevada who are pursuing a degree in physical education (PE teacher) at an accredited college or university may apply for this scholarship. Student may be a senior at a charter, private, or CCSD high school and must enroll as a full-time college student. A minimum 2.5 unweighted cumulative GPA is required and students must demonstrate financial need. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded.
The Green Ambassador Program
Provides several scholarship awards for Clark County high school seniors involved in environmental awareness and/or education programs. The application and instructions can be found here: Nevada Recycles
Applications and supporting materials are due by March 5, 2021. The number of scholarships awarded will depend on the number of qualified applicants. Awards will be up to $1000 each.
James B. Duke Scholarship at Davidson College
Davidson has partnered with the Duke Endowment to offer a new Application Scholarship for students applying for admission to the Davidson Class of 2025.
The James B. Duke Scholarship recognizes students whose academic achievement, diverse talents, work ethic, resilience, and concern for others give evidence of their capacity to make a difference in the world. Five new James B. Duke Scholars will be named in each entering class.
The award is valued annually at full tuition + a $5000 special study stipend. Any Davidson applicant for admission is eligible to apply. James B. Duke Scholarship

Silver State Schools Credit Union Scholarship
The SSSCU Scholarship Program awards $2,000 scholarships renewable for up to four years, for a total of up to $8,000, to use towards higher education. Applicants must be SSSCU members and applications must be received electronically by the Credit Union by 11:59pm on Friday, March 19, 2021.
Scholarship winners will be selected by a committee appointed by the SSSCU Board Chair.

Jackie Robinson Scholarship Foundation
Applications due January 12, 2022
To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:
- Be a graduating, minority high school senior
- Be a United States citizen
- Present evidence of financial need
- Demonstrate a record of academic excellence
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service
- Submit an official SAT and/or ACT test exam score from junior or senior year*
- Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university
- Not possess a degree from, or be enrolled in, a 2 or 4–year college when applying

Adras & Altig Criminal Justice Essay Scholarship
The attorneys at Adras & Altig are pleased to sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, an Essay Contest to help students with college expenses and to raise greater awareness of the issue of crime in your community and hometown. If the people of the United States learned anything from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, it’s that communities need to come together in times of adversity. We want to hear from the future leaders and aspiring minds currently enrolled in college or planning to attend in the Fall of 2021! The essay contest is open to juniors and seniors in high school, as well as students enrolled in two-year and four-year colleges and universities and graduate school programs in Nevada and throughout the United States. Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame 2021 Scholarship
The Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame (LVGHOF) annually offers scholarships to Clark County high school seniors. The scholarship fund is established by donations from individuals in the community. The first major endowment is from Mr. Bill Walters. Recipients must plan to attend an accredited community college, college, university, trade or technical school. Those applicants who have received a full scholarship to any college or university are not eligible for this scholarship. Those applicants who have been recruited by a college must check with their respective coaches and inform them of the amount of this scholarship before accepting it. Application Requirements
