Goals and Objectives
Goal 1: ELA Goal Achievement- All students will increase proficiency in ELA from 56.6% to 59.2% by 2019 as measured by state summative assessments. Growth-Increase the percent of non-proficient students meeting Adequate Growth Percentile in ELA from 31.2% to 35% by 2019 as measured by state summative assessments and reported on the Nevada School Performance Framework.
Goal 2: Math Goal Achievement, All students will increase proficiency in math from 46.4% to 50% by 2019 as measured by state summative assessments. Growth-Increase the percent of non-proficient students meeting Adequate Growth Percentile in math from 21.8% to 24% by 2019 as measured by state summative assessments and reported on the Nevada School Performance Framework.
Principal's Highlights
Weekly grade-level Professional Learning Community meetings ensured consistent procedures, planning, assessments, and grading practices.
Consistent staff collaboration to analyze data and discuss grade-level intervention strategies to close the achievement gaps among student groups.
Created common formative and summative assessments to drive instruction.
Schoolwide, skill-focused, differentiated reading instruction was provided in grades K-5.
Recognized character traits and positive student actions during monthly assemblies known as RALLY DAY.
Implemented a Bass Bear Paw token system to encourage positive behavior and a safe learning environment for all students.
Restructured the RTI process for grades K-5 (Response to Instruction) to increase student achievement through implementation of tiered support and leveled intervention groups.
Implemented Lexia and ST Math to improve reading and math achievement.
