AP Calculus BC Independent Study
In January, an independent study for the AP Calculus BC exam will begin. The BC exam is the equivalent of two semesters of Calculus at most colleges. This is open to all AP Calculus students. If you have any questions about the independent study or the BC exam, please contact me.
Since this is an independent study, we are looking for highly motivated students who can handle the extra workload to participate. Students would be responsible for studying most of the BC topics on their own with additional support and required meetings with me several times a week outside of class time.
The Calculus BC exam tests all content from AB as well as several additional topics covered in BC. Students taking the BC exam will receive an AB sub-score. Most colleges will accept either the successful BC score for two courses or the AB sub-score for one course. This is a great option for students who know or think they are going into a major that will require two or more semesters of Calculus.
