My name is Nicole Koren. This is my fifth year teaching at NBJH and eighth year overall, and I come from a bilingual family and am a native Russian speaker.
When I was 16 years old, I spent a semester in Barcelona, Spain, where I found my passion for Spanish language and culture. I decided to spend another semester in Barcelona and also spent six weeks studying Italian language and culture in Perugia, Italy in 2011. I have traveled extensively throughout Spain and Europe and have gained an insight into other cultures. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in Spanish Language and Literature in 2012 and finished my Master's of Teaching in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, watching movies and television, and going to the beach.
