The goal of the North Andover Reads program is to:
Promote literacy and intergenerational discussions
Engage the community in dialogue about diversity
Bring the community together in different forums to discuss and express their ideas regarding topics brought forth in the books
Promote understanding, empathy and tolerance
Discuss good literature and why books receive certain awards
Respect ~ others points of view and experiences
Achievement ~ promoting literacy and critical thinking
Inclusion ~ acceptance of others
Service ~ offering forums to discuss ideas and share artistically
Empathy ~ for others and their life experiences
