Media Center- The name for the Middle/High School library
Call Number- The letters and numbers on the spine of the bookthat tells you where the book can be found on the shelf
Catalog- The complete, electronic list of everything the library owns (books, games, etc.)
Circulation Desk- The large desk where the middle and high school librarians sit. This is the place where you check out books, borrow materials such as scissors, tape, etc, and ask for help with library related questions
Fiction-Stories that are imaginative or not factual (arranged alphabetically by author)
Non-Fiction- Books containing factual information (arranged by subject using the classification system)
Spine Label- A label that shows the location where an item belongs on a shelf
Status- Indicates Whether an item is on the shelf or is checked out
Catalog Topic Wheel- Spin the wheel and try to locate a title in the library catalog that would be useful for someone who needs information on that topic
