My Music Classroom Vision Statement
I want my music classroom to be a place where each child knows that their thoughts and opinions are valued. A place that challenges each child both intellectually and emotionally. A place where learning and musical acheivements are valued and celebrated. A place where expressing care and concern for others is valued and those who express it are celebrated.
A place where they are taught the lifelong joy of making music through singing and playing instruments. A place that teaches them the language of music and opens the doors to improvising, composing, and arranging. A place that equips them to make informed opinions about musical performances and works. A place that will allow them to discover and develop their own musical talents, and prepare them to be involved in music throughout their lives.
