Teens in Grades 7–12 are invited to join our Teen Volunteer Program!
Opportunities include assisting with library projects, helping run youth events, contributing to the development of teen programs, and taking part in curating and promoting teen book displays and collections. Volunteers may also help organize library spaces and support special events throughout the year.
To get started, fill out a Teen Volunteer Application — a library staff member will follow up with more information.

There will be 3 meetings: 2 over the summer and 1 in September, along with 1-2 additional work sessions. Additional volunteer hours available if desired. All meetings/work sessions will be scheduled based on volunteers' availability. Volunteer at Step Up for Recovery on October 5th for additional hours!

Skokie’s Fourth of July parade is back! Help us make it a success by volunteering your time. The parade steps off at 12 noon sharp, and we need at least 50 volunteers. Volunteers are needed starting at 8 am on parade day until the parade ends, which is typically around 2 pm.
Most volunteers help in the parade staging area located in the south parking lot of Oakton Community College’s Skokie campus. A Continental Breakfast is provided at the staging area.
