Skokie Public Library
Teen Library Collaborative: Give your input on library services and events for teens in this casual open discussion space. Talk about current events and what's affecting your life right now, hear new perspectives, and be part of a community. Participants earn service hours. For grades 6-12.
Book with a Buddy, read stories and play educational games with younger kids
Green Team, learn how to grow plants in the library's courtyard garden
Community Activists, explore community activism and collaborate on projects for change
Technology Help for Seniors, assist senior citizens in using technology

Project Linus, make no sew fleece blankets for children in need
Kindness Rocks, paint rocks with inspiring messages

Teen Advisory Board, advise the library on teen programs

Connections for the Homeless
TEEN VOLUNTEERS, High schoolers are welcome back to volunteer at Connections with an adult starting in June 2021! Teens are invited to volunteer both on-site and remotely. Help prepare bagged lunches, move and organize donations, and more! When volunteering on-site, teen volunteers are required to be accompanied by an adult. Coming Together with Care
Coming Together with Care is a community project focused on connecting neighbors to alleviate social and psychological isolation in Niles Township. Through postcards, phone calls, and information about local resources for essential items, this project will help bring community members together. Pick up a postcard at a local library and visit comingtogether.in/2021 for more information.

For more than a decade, The Honeycomb Project has served as Chicago’s go-to organization for family volunteering. They put kids at the forefront of social change – building stronger communities across the city and beyond. Honeycomb volunteer projects provide support and relief to Chicago-area families and improve natural and recreational areas in under-served communities.
