Club Officer Elections

ALL BOARD MEMBERS: Must be present/attend/actively participate in a majority of Club functions - social, philanthropic and fundraising - and in ALL meetings in addition to enthusiastic and responsible execution of their job duties. (Summer Retreat in August, Familia Field Day, Club Day, Recruitment Day, Senior Banquet Planning, etc.).

Positions

President (11th/12th Only):

- Creates agendas & leads meetings/facilitates discussions

- Supervises and works with other officers in coordinating club activities and club meetings

- Sets monthly club goals

- Ensures there is effective publicity for all events/activities

- Facilitates creation of Club Yearly Calendar with advisors

- Organizes Summer Retreat with Club Advisors

- Keeps Club Advisors, Counselor, Teachers informed via email, text AND in person.


Vice President (11th/12th Only):

- Assists President in the execution of all of his/her duties

- Keeps time and maintains order at Club meetings

- Must attend ASB Club Recruitment Fair meetings (Inter-Club Council Meeting as well)


Secretary:

-Takes minutes of the meetings using shared Google docs

- Communicates with other clubs and/or individuals (i.e. for Puente shirts, vendors, etc.)

- Emails, texts, informs members & advisors of all meetings at least a week in advance

- Writes thank you letters to parent volunteers, donors, etc. for helping/contributing

-Must attend ASB Club Recruitment Fair meetings with VP (Inter-Club Council Meetings as well)


Treasurer:

- Collects all Club monies for all functions, counts and submits a cash count (will need to train on how to do this)

- Keeps detailed records/receipts of payments to and from the Club via Google sheets and paper copies stored in Ms. Meza’s office

-Handles all Club Recruitment Fair monies

-Makes sure Club has cash box with change for all necessary events (cash box located in Ms. Meza’s office)

-Communicates with advisor regarding future expenses, in advance.


Technology Director:

-Works with VP to update and maintain Club social media (website, Instagram, Facebook, Remind, etc)

- Works with Class Representative to create flyers

-Creates recruitment slideshow in early November and senior banquet slideshow in mid-May

- Must be knowledgeable of social media tools and software

- Keeps detailed photographic record of grade level and Club events: i.e. field trips, fundraisers, social gatherings, etc.


Class Representative Team: (1 per grade level)

(Senior is Leader of the team)

- Makes necessary Club advertising, including posters, banners and flyers to keep their class apprised of upcoming Puente events

- Works collaboratively to publicize all Puente events

- Keeps classes verbally updated and disseminates materials

- Assists with Club functions/events/activities, as needed

- Keeps detailed photographic record of grade level and Club events: i.e. field trips, fundraisers, social gatherings, etc.

- Responsible to collaborate and produce End-of-the-Year Club PowerPoint with photos, quotes, and music

- Works closely with Yearbook to provide Puente pictures for yearbook


*All board members will be in charge of one big activity throughout the year (i.e. Club Fairs, Senior Banquet, Thanksgiving Tamale Making, Puente in PJ’s, etc.).
