Meet Your Librarian

Hello Hawks!

I am so happy to be CCMS's Teacher Librarian!  I've always loved middle school (since I've been in middle school at Barnard-White - where I met my husband of 27 years).  I am a huge fan of  young adult fiction. Reading books together with my two daughters is how I've found some amazing titles and authors. Briana and MadiLynn have also introduced to me Adventure Time, and I haven't missed an episode! Everyone in my family is a musician, except Lollipop our pit bull pup. Flute, percussion, and guitar are just a few instruments I've played. 

I taught 7th grade core for 10 years at Alvarado Middle School before moving to elementary to teach 4th and 5th grade. Then I became the Teacher Librarian at Alvarado Elementary.  And this is by far my favorite subject to teach and place to be. I love the Chavez library!  

Come on up to the library and see me before school, during break, lunch, or after school.  You can call, Google Chat or email me and I will reply during school hours.
