Welcome to the middle of the middle!

You've officially made it to 7th grade, and I hope you're ready for an exciting year full of growth, discovery, and fun. In ELA, we’ll be reading and writing every day as we build our skills and explore new ideas.

We’ll kick off the year by jumping into fiction, focusing on plot structure, conflict, character development, and point of view. We'll be diving into juicy plots, meeting unforgettable characters, facing wild conflicts, and seeing the world through different perspectives.  As we explore different literary genres and subgenres, you'll also get to know yourself better as a reader and learner. Together, we’ll set personal reading goals and build strong, independent reading habits.

By the end of the year, my goal is for every student to have found at least one book they truly connect with and enjoy!
