About Mrs. McNeil

   My name is Mrs. McNeil and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year.  This is my 19th year in education. I graduated from UNCW with my teaching certification and my Master's in Language and Literacy. I also have my Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) certification from Western Carolina University.

     This is my first year at Trask and as a middle school teacher. I am super excited to be a BEAR! In my first 19 years of teaching,  I have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade ELA and been a K-5 Gifted Education Specialist. 

     Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family and our sweet dog. My twins, Chloe and Jackson, are starting high school this year! I enjoy working in the yard, relaxing by the pool, and sipping iced coffee. We are huge Disney fans( my favorite princess is Belle....wonder why?) and love🥰 attending Broadway musicals with Chloe. I love all things related to Christmas 🧑‍🎄 (especially Halmark Christmas movies). Our family is also very involved in raising autism awareness—a cause that’s especially close to our hearts.

     I can’t wait to get to know you and support you in reaching your full potential. I’m confident this will be a fantastic year full of learning and growth!
