May 26th-29th, 2020

Sketchbook Creativity Challenges

I miss you all and would love to see your work! If you have any questions or want to send pictures of what you're creating, you can email me: mallory.neidenthal@nhcs.net

As our remote school year is coming to a close, this week we will be filling the rest of our sketchbook pages with some Creativity Challenges. If you've been at Pine Valley for a few years, you know our Creativity Challenges include all sorts of activities, like drawing games, building the tallest tower out of straws, or creating imaganitve stories and illustrations.

The challenges for this week are all primarily drawing activities that you can do in your sketchbook. Pick as many to complete as you want, but remember the key is to be CREATIVE! So see what new and different ideas you can come up with!

I have also added videos of our Mystery Drawing activities below that you can use to fill your sketchbook pages as well!

Creativity Challenges

You can do as many of the challenges below and in whatever order. Be sure that your drawing fills an entire page of your sketchbook. Add lots of details and finish it off with some color. You can print off the list below if you'd like but you don't need to.

Just for Fun Read Aloud of "The Day the Crayons Came Home"

A read aloud just for fun of the book "The Day the Crayons Came Home" by Drew Daywalt. This is a sequel to my previous read aloud of Daywalt's book "The Day the Crayons Quit."

Mystery Drawings

You can also fill your sketchbook with this step-by-step guided drawing activity with a mysterious twist! Can you guess what we're drawing before we reach the final steps? Follow along with the videos below-all you need is a paper, pencil and your choice of materials to color with. Be creative and have fun!
