Welcome to my class! I am excited to begin my 26th year in the classroom. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in English and from Christian Brothers University with a master's degree in Education and a master's degree in Administration. I have taught all levels of English, including on-level, honors, and pre-AP. I am thrilled to share my love of reading and grammar with my students.
I am originally from a small town in West Tennessee called Michie (pronounced like Mickey). I have been married for 30 years, and we have three amazing boys. You will hear a ton of stories about my boys. Our oldest son is an antimatter physicist pursuing his Ph.D. in physics in Trento, Italy. Our middle son is a music therapist. He plays nine instruments. Our youngest son is a student at Laney.
I love to travel, go to new places, and sometimes return to the old ones! Ask me about my adventures!
