Early in kindergarten some "homework" (home fun!) will come in the form of meaningful and interactive suggestions instead of just written assignments. You have received a core word packet, letter naming game with Fundations sounds, a wipe-off name writing practice page, IXL info and the log in as well as RAZ kids. Please use the home-fun suggested schedule we will share at meetings to practice these and more important skills.
Baggy books will begin coming home this fall on Mondays and are due on Fridays each week. These are on/around your child's reading level and should be fun. Please see the literacy information page for more about these books and things to do when reading at home.
Homefun also includes games and activities you can do with your child to reinforce what they are learning at school. We believe it is more important that you read with your child every day for at least 15 minutes. The best home-fun is spending quality time with your child! We do hope that you will take some time to enjoy our suggested activities below.
Ask your child about their day.
1. Practice writing your name as neatly as possible (first and last)
2. Practice counting 1-100
3. Practice recognizing writing numbers 1-30
4. Play any of the Kindergarten core word games BELOW
5. Practice saying your address
6. Practice saying your telephone number
7. Practice tying your shoes!!!
