*Last week was great and I am looking forward to an amazing year with everyone! 😊
*Please send your child with a snack and water bottle each day.
*We have PE on Fridays so please make sure your child wears tennis shoes that day.
*Join us for our first Codington Community Night of the year on July 23rd at Burrito Shak Monkey Junction! Enjoy dinner and time with fellow Cougar families while supporting the Codington PTA.
*Join us for Popsicles in the Park on July 24th at 4pm. We will be at Halyburton Park Shelter 2. Cool off with a popsicle and connect with other cougar families!

Dear Second Grade Families,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful first week of school! It has been such a busy and exciting start to the year. I know Open House felt quick and busy with everyone coming in and out, but I truly enjoyed meeting all new families and seeing families whose older children I have had the pleasure of teaching in previous years. Thank you for taking the time to come and help make our first week special.
We have had a fantastic first week in second grade! Your children are already settling into our classroom routines, getting to know one another, and working hard. I am so excited for the amazing year ahead and feel very fortunate to spend it learning and growing with your children.
Thank you so much for the generous classroom supplies you sent in. Your support helps us start the year off prepared and ready to learn, and I truly appreciate it.
As we continue getting into our routines, here are a few reminders:
I will always put information in the purple folders that go home daily, but please check our class website for important updates, classroom information, and upcoming events as well.Â
If you have any forms that still need to be completed and returned, please send them in whenever you are able.
If you requested additional car rider name tags, I will send them home as soon as the office is able to provide me with more.
Communication is very important to me, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you ever have questions or concerns throughout the year. We are a team, and I look forward to working together to help your child have a successful and enjoyable second grade experience.
