Ms Parish 

Hi! I'm Amanda Parish. I started teaching at Hoggard in 2016. I hold certifications in Business and Marketing but my passion is Marketing, especially Hospitality & Tourism.

I'm from Wilmington, NC and graduated from New Hanover High School in 1985. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Early Childhood Education from ECU - Go Pirates and my graduate degree is a Master of Business Administration from UNCW.

After graduating from ECU - Go Pirates I taught 2nd grade for 5 minutes (that's sarcasm folks, actually 2.5 years), but was lured away by the "easy money" (more sarcasm) of sales. Overall I have 26 years of marketing and entrepreneurship work experience.

I have 2 children, Reid and Sawyer and the cutest long hair miniature dachshund ever, Trixie.  I dabbled in the "stay at home Mom" thing while the kids were young but I can't deny I was excited to get back into the working world. Upon reflecting on what I wanted to do, I realized the job I loved the most was my very first one ....... wait for it ......... teaching. 

I now have the PERFECT job; I love teaching, I love Marketing, I love talking about Marketing, and I especially love working with high school students.
