STAE 9 and Honors English I

All assignments and information for the course are located in Canvas. Be sure to log into Canvas daily. If you are absent, you are responsible for getting your work in Canvas and submitting it.

The English I course provides a foundational study of literary genres (novels, short stories, poetry, drama).  The emphasis in this class is on equipping students with English skills and developing students’ abilities to support original ideas with relevant textual evidence.  The course will include various formal and informal writing and oral discussions. Honors English I encourages thought-provoking, higher-level questioning and requires students to work independently and collaboratively.

I am excited to have you in this class and look forward to working with you throughout the next four years.
