Welcome to Spanish class at Murray Middle School!

My goal is for everyone to enjoy learning Spanish, to learn to respect other cultures, and to be successful in my class!

At this website you will find information about our class and extra help activity links on the resources page.
Click on your grade level to see information specific to your class.
All assignments and announcements for our class will be in Google Classroom. This website is just for basic information.

I am available for parent conferences every day from 12:45 to 1:45, or after school most days. I can also be available most days at 7:45 AM. Please feel free to contact me any time you have a question or concern, or to request a conference.

1 subject spiral notebook
2-pocket folder, unless your notebook has pockets
Pencils
Optional - earbuds (we do a lot of listening activities in class)

About Señora Jerread

Welcome to my Spanish class! I have been teaching Spanish for 32 years. You will see that I am very dedicated to my students and love teaching your children. I have taught middle and high school Spanish in Florida, New York, and North Carolina, and have lived in North Carolina since 1999. I received my BA in Spanish and Education from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, and my MS in Reading education from SUNY Cortland. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I studied Spanish in Uruguay as a high school exchange student, and I have traveled with students to Spain and Costa Rica. I also did a missionary trip to Nicaragua, and have traveled to Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Ecuador, Italy, France, and Honduras. My husband and I moved to Carolina Beach in 2018. We also have a son and daughter and son-in-law who live in Wake County.
