Communication:
Please feel free to contact with me any needs, concerns or questions about your child throughout the year. I do believe that communication is a crucial part of education. Class Dojo or email is the most practical way to get in touch with me, although I may not be able to check messages sent during instructional hours. If you have a last minute transportation change please be sure to call the front office.
Homework:
Students will typically be asked to complete a Math Homework Workbook page, based on the day's lesson. They are also asked to read every night for at least 20 minutes and complete a daily Reading Log. Reading Fluency Passages will frequently be sent home and typically take four days to complete. In addition, incomplete work that needs to be completed as well as quiz corrections will be sent home on an as needed basis. No Homework on Friday:)
Absences: Policy Code: 4400 Attendance
When a student must miss school, a written excuse signed by a parent or guardian must be presented to the student’s teacher on the day the student returns after an absence.
Absences due to extended illnesses or injury will be monitored by the school social worker and may also require a statement from a health care practitioner.

Token Economy System:
Students have the opportunity to earn classroom dollars, each day. Classroom dollars are earned when students use their time wisely, engage in classroom learning and make responsible choices. Classroom dollars are kept in the classroom and can be use to buy a variety of student selceted treasures. Students enjoy manipulating classroom money and show great pride with the dollars they earn.
