Hello Science Olympiad Families,
I would like to first welcome you and your child to our 2019-20 Science Olympiad Team. On March 7th your child will be competing at UNCW in the Wilmington Tournament. On a daily basis the Science Olympiad Team will be meeting during Student Advisory to work on our events for March. Along the way your child will need a significant amount of help from you in order to be prepared for the tournament. They will need assistance in knowledge, gathering materials, and organization. I have posted the official rules and tentative schedule to my website for your family to use at home in your preparations. If you work in a profession that is the topic of one of our events, and you feel that you can help out the team, please email me at gregory.law@nhcs.net. Most of all I would like to thank you for raising some awesome kids. Every child on the team has been extremely polite, willing to accommodate for the team, and really fun to be with. I look forward to the rest of the season and please use the links below to gather more information. I have also placed this letter electronically on my website in the Science Olympiad section so you can click on the hyperlinks. Please email me at the above email address indicating that you have read this letter. Please put your name, your child’s name, and if you can attend the tournament on March 7th in the body of the email. This will also be our line of communication throughout the season.
