I have provided a folder for you that I believe will be helpful. This folder is called the P.I.R.A.T.E (Prepared, Informed, Ready, and Together Ever Day) folder. Your child will bring this to school every day to develop organizational skills and learn to become responsible for returning items daily. This folder is an important tool between home and school. Please initial each day beside the color dot for your child's behavior. If your child has a behavior note attached to this sheet, please sign it and return it to school the next day. Make sure this behavior chart stays in your child's folder. It will be removed at the end of the month for record keeping purposes. Thanks.
Blue = Super Student
Outstanding behavior: students who reach this level will be rewarded for their positive choices.
Green = Ready to learn
Everyone starts the day "Ready to learn". Students can move up or down throughout the day depending on their behavior choices.
Yellow = Make Better Choices
Students who receive a warning will move to yellow. This serves as a reminder for students to think about the choices they make.
Orange = Teacher's Choice
Students who continue to make poor choices, will move to orange. This will result in a consequence that is appropriate for the choice that was made. Different choices require different consequences. Children are different so consequences will vary depending on the child and the choices made. (Time out, loss of privilege, loss of playtime, etc...)
Red = Parent Contact
Students who move to red will require parental contact by me. Parents will be contacted via telephone, email or note depending on the severity of the behavioral choice.
