About Me

Getting to Know Ms. LaFave

Hello, my name is Chad LaFave and I am so excited to be your child's teacher. This will be my 24th year of teaching.  I am originally from Wisconsin and graduated from UW Whitewater with a B.A. in Elementary Education.  My family and I moved to Wilmington twenty-one years ago.  We were very excited to leave the cold winters behind and head for the beach!  I enjoy spending time with my daughter Lily, my son Louis, and my dog Oliver.  My daughter is a UNCC graduate and lives in Charlotte. My son is attending Cape Fear Community College. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time at the beach. 

Please keep in touch throughout the school year.  Consistent and open communication between school and home is one of the best things we can do for your child.  I'm looking forward to this year and know it well be a huge success for your child!
